New SanDisk Ultra 16GB Micro SD MicroSDHC 48MB/s Class 10 Flash Memory Card

Worked prefectly
I used this to sync music from MediaMonkey for the car, and it worked perfectly. Synched about 800 files to it, no errors, fast transfer speed.

Good capable tablet with excellent screen.
My tablet arrived one day after ordering so I was impressed already. You honestly wouldn’t know it was a refurb but for some stickers on the box and a ratty photocopied instruction leaflet – the tablet itself was immaculate with no marks or scratches. I would caution against installing too much before you have done all the system updates: mine updated out of the box which I was expecting, but a few hours later it updated again to Marshmallow and deleted everything (and I mean everything). Now this wasn’t a big problem as I’d barely installed anything, and I ended up with a more up-to-date operating system than I was expecting, but just be aware before you go loading it up with apps and data. The best part of this tablet is the screen. A lot of the cheaper tablets are 600 or 800 pixels high, the 1200 pixels on this make it superb. Colours are great, not oversaturated like a lot of Samsungs or washed out like the cheapies. Sound is good but not great. It's certainly acceptable for playing games or watching videos, but if the Dolby logo leads you to expect cinematic sound then you’ll be disappointed. At full volume there’s a tiny bit of distortion, but it’s loud enough for most uses well below that. Battery life has been surprisingly good for such a big bright screen. I’ve been using mine for a couple of weeks and it easily lasts a day of reasonable use. Charging can be a bit slow even with the supplied charger, so it’s an overnight job. Performance is better than I expected at the price. Most apps run smoothly, I’ve had Word and Excel editing huge documents without trouble, and Maps working effortlessly. Games run reasonably but I did notice some stuttering on my snooker app when a lot of balls move rapidly at once. Overall I’m extremely happy with this tablet. Yes there are faster ones on the market but you’d have to spend a lot more money. I’ve had ~£50 budget tablets before and this is simply in a different league, and well worth the money.

Too basic and flawed even at that cheap price
I figured I couldn't go wrong at under £40 for a decent-looking tablet, but turns out I could. It worked well enough out of the box, even though it was fairly sluggish. I'd not been expecting lightning fast speed from other reviews, so I wasn't disappointed. The screen is ok but not spectacular, the sound is reasonable, but again for under £40 they are perfectly acceptable. However the trouble came when Windows prompted me to upgrade to the latest security patches. There wasn't enough room on the measly 16GB to download the update, and I was left with exactly 0 bytes free. Inserting an SD card didn't help, nor did trying to do a clean install from an SD. When I tried to rollback the installation the whole tablet froze after about two hours and never recovered. Tesco were helpful and prompt to refund, but the tablet is let down by it's tiny internal memory.
