Great kitchen addition
1 of 1 found this helpful I have just moved into a flat with a ceramic hob, and having previously used a gas hob was finding it very slow to heat up. After reading other reviews I decided to buy this single induction hob and am so glad I did. It heats up very quickly and is very controllable. The highest heat setting of 20 heats water so quickly, even quicker than a gas hob, and can be turned down very easily to simmer. I tend to start off heating a pan of soup etc. on say a setting of 10 and the soup is ready in no time.
I compared reviews with a "best selling" induction hob by a leading pan manufacturer, but found the VonShef more pleasing in appearance, and several reviewers found that you could not simmer effectively on one of the leading brands. You can simmer very effectively on the VonShef. Very pleased with my purchase and well worth the money.
