Disappointingly Not For 'Doggie Paddling'
Having bought this product as opposed to cheaper options, because it specifically said it was 'waterproof', I was extremely disappointed and would not recommend its use in water.
On the positive side, I liked the fact that it had its own internal chargeable battery rather than needing external batteries, a good long collar with strong loop for attaching the lead and the remote was easy to set and use
Unfortunately though, during the first outing of training, it stopped working. I tried to recharge the receiver at home, but there was no light on it at all. My puppy did splash about in the shallows of the sea but I cannot say 100% this is the reason for the product's failure. However, if you want a trainer that guarantees your dog is able to swim in it, as the manufacturer claims, then I would suggest you do not trust this collar and remove it before he enters the water.

This Timer Looks After All Your Needs
Good quality timer with a nice large display. It covers every possible option of programmes to fulfil all your needs. Follow the instructions for setting it up and away you go...works like a dream.

Pay more and get one that works!

So I decided to buy another from another supplier with a view of removing it before my puppy entered the water in the future.
Unfortunately though, the second receiver that arrived did not work at all!
If you want to risk buying this trainer don't rely on its guarantee that your dog is able to swim in it, as the manufacturer claims, but personally I would suggest you spend more and get a better product! I certainly am and will be giving this machine a third chance.
