I wanted this ice maker because I was tired of ice cube trays. It is a great machine. The only down fall I see is it only makes 9 ice cubes at a time about every 15 minutes. I put the machine on first thing in the morning and shut it down about lunch time, not sure what that will do to my electric bill, we shall see. Four of my family uses ice.
