he cant live without it...
being somewhat ignorant MANY years ago over the feeding/ looking after green iguanas. we rescued one from a pet shop where he was put in a fish tank which because of a damaged shortened tail he could turn round..... we took him home & asked local pet shop what to feed him...... told what BUT they didnt say he needed uv light & also suppliments. he grew to be a cute friendly chappie who loved to cuddle up to us & also the dogs & when the coal burner fire was lit he used to "live" under there.....we moved county & things altered i could here him walking down the hall to come climb into bed with me & i would lie on my back & he would spread out & warm himself up.... time went on & he had a sort of fit.....find a vet who dealt in exotics & rushed him there...... he had to have a drip & calcium suppliments & we got a proper ticking off from the vet for not having him live in a proper viv with proper heat & lighting . he said he was very supprised he had managed to live soooooo long without what he should have been having......... now he has his viv & all proper lighting + he gets his regular does of his nutrobal.......he was approx 6 years old when we had the rushed dash to the vets & that was over 12 years ago......we love him dearly
