Good enough for the money.

Film backs are well padded and light protected. Little bit flimsy, but good enough for the money.

Neat little axe!

Like all Graensfors Bruks tools, this axe is the ultimate in design and quality! Just the right weight to carry around yet capable of doing a lot of things with it. It changes your outlook on what you can do outdoors dramatically. The little booklet is full of very useful advice and a worthy addition to the tool. Those guys at G.B. are serious about what they are doing! I also own the forest axe with the long handle and have it always in my car. A good step up in terms of efficiency, but a little bit heavier. The balance of it must have been felt to appreciate. A truly sophisticated tool!!! If it does not need to be carried around and to be very light, take this one.
