Complete Guide to Needlework by Reader's Digest Editors 1979 Hardcover Knitting
    30 Dec, 2015
    Awesome instruction book
I got this book when it first came out way back when. I loved it then, but somehow it was misplaced, so I found a replacement in a 'used' book store. It, too, was eventually lost. For years I have looked for one of these and finally found it here on eBay. I highly recommend this book for beginning learners. I taught myself how to knit by following the step by step guide in this book. There are patterns in it that I really love, too. It's also a great guide for crochet, and other needle crafts.

Homedics Deluxe Pulse Oximeter PX-100A Oxygen Level & Pulse Rate NEW Optimetrix
    19 Mar, 2016
    Easy to use
I needed a Pulse Oximeter for home use to monitor my heart rate and 02 sats, and I was unsure which brand to go with. I knew the HoMEDICS brand was a good one, so I went with it. The description of it was very thorough and I felt confident that I would not be disappointed. It came in today, and I just ordered it this week. The shipping was quick, and the merchandise is top quality and so easy to use. There is no guesswork. I am really satisfied with this Pulse Oximeter. I can't think of anything that would be negative about it.

It's almost as if crafts from yesterday have merged with crafts today.
A long time ago I had a McCall's Neelework and Crafts subscription. Over the years I watched the magazine dwindle from a thick magazine filled with all kinds of crafts, patterns, and ads to a very thin ghost of what it used to be. I had very few of the magazines left from the 80's and 90's and I didn't know where to purchase the most important ones to me, so I decided to try eBay. I found them. Mostly, I was searching for a crocheted Angel pattern, and my quest for that pattern which I vaguely remembered had been published sometime in the 80s, took me to quite a few magazines that I didn't have and wanted to buy. This one was one of them. And, the very last magazine I purchased was the one that contained the pattern I was looking for. I was content, then. The 1992 McCall's Needlework and Crafts wasn't it, but it was one that I didn't have and I have enjoyed making the crafts in it. Because history has a way of repeating itself, even in crafts and fashion, as well as everything else, you wouldn't know that what I have been making is based on patterns that are 20 years old. All of the McCall's Craft magazines that I have purchased contain old patterns that I have noticed are as popular now as they were then...
