Simple adequate design.
Although this is a flat rather than wide angle design, it is big enough to give a good view to the rear without distorting the distance. They are also slightly tinted to reduce glare. They'll take a bit of time to get used to, but should be worth the effort. They seem to hold their adjustment if a helmut is placed on them whilst parking.

This is the key part!
It’s all steel up to the clamp and it fits tight enough that it doesn’t squeak from flexing. It is the most elegant way of making a bike comfy for older people.

Beefy.
Bought these thinking they’d be light. Not really but for a low spoke count wheel they’re pretty beefy. Needed a set of wheels for my Ebike build anyway so used them for that. I’m usually in the habit of building my wheels but this time was willing to try someone else’s. They’re quite true and the bearings need to be adjusted.
