Freaky Friday

A good film from the younger Jodie Foster, showing a glimpse of the talent and promise that she later developed. The basic theme is interesting, though as with all comedies some of the action is unbelievable. In spite of this an entertaining film that is wholesome enough to leave even younger children watching.

History in the making

Another and unique look at the life and times of Queen Victoria. This dramatization is quite old now and most of the actors well known for later roles. One of the aspects of this series is it's ability to bring out the very tightly knit group that were the Royal Houses of Europe of the time. This series of events could not happen now but is fascinating to watch and see unfold. For the younger viewer there are possibly other adaptations of this Queen's life that would hold more current meaning to them but for the older generation, especially those who lived nearer to these times, it is spell binding. Allowances must be made for the earlier time when this was made and therefore the quality of the production. Remember CGI did not exist in those days neither a lot of other technological assists to the actors of today. We enjoyed this work thoroughly.

ViewSonic VE150 15 inch LCD Monitor

Good little monitor. So far I have had no issues with this monitor. It is smallish, being only a 15" but works well. This monitor replaced a CRT monitor and I am very pleased with it so far. The display is bright and lively in response.
