Very Bright, Pricey but worth it.
This lamp is very bright. the spectrum is somewhat blue, this slightly alters the perception of color on the object being viewed. if color identification is critical one might have some difficulty differentiating.
With my Maglite I was unable to pull in a very tight pattern, however with that being said, if you want a very good bright light with a slightly wider broadcast area, this would be a great lamp for you. It most definitely is worth the greater cost. I use it for security where absolute color identification is not critical, yet very good illumination is important. I really like it. I have not had this lamp in service for an extended period of time, therefore I am unable to comment on the reliability with regard to rough service or longevity.
