Great for blending
I have given this five stars as they blend pastels very well, they have a softness that gives you great control over your art work when you want to blend your colours. They are also good value for money.

High quality soft pastel pencil
Although caran dache pencils are expensive i still rate them as good value because they can cover a much wider area than other known brands, a small amount goes a long way on the paper. Due to the lead softness they are so easily blendable and have a high light fastness quality (not prone to fading ). Most pastel pencil tips will break when trying to sharpen with a pencil sharpener and caran dache are no exception to this so i would recommend using a knife or look into specifically designed pastel pencil sharpeners.

Great for macro
3 of 3 found this helpful This item is perfect for macro and close up work, high quality item which is also great value for your money. I can't say anything negative about it, if you need something like this on your tripod then buy this. It will not disapoint you.
