Beautiful And Soothing
This cd was made in Japan, the price is a little higher than the domestic product, which I do not mind. The outstanding quality of the disc makes it worth while, and it also happens to have a historic value in that it is a debut recording by Pat Metheny, and Jaco Pastorius on the bass, also a first ever appearance of this bassman. When the record first came out in 1976, it did not receive a good review. Then, many years later(1990’s) the interest for this album suddenly sky rocketed, and the sales picked up like a wild fire. This does not surprise me, for Mr Metheny really created a piece of music that seems to captivate the listeners. It is not a virtuoso type record, though Metheny’s command of the guitar is phenomenal. It really does make for a great listening. Metheny has since been through a multitude of fusion styles, though his basic playing never changed a great deal. It is the work he did with different jazz musicians that tend to make the most audible difference. Just to mention the Pat Metheny Group, it really does sound quite different, compared to his early work. Get this record, it is beautiful.

A Great Solo Album
Released in 1985, Jagger’s first solo album. It is a great record to listen to, there are some very prominent musicians contributing to the project. Jeff Beck does most of the guitar work,
and there is Nile Rogers who coproduced the album, and also contributed musically. There is an interesting mixture of songs on this album which will appeal to anybody who likes Rolling Stones/Mick Jagger, who, on this occasion, has had a free hand in completing this record without the constraints that are present when one works in a band setting. My only amazement with this record is in that it was not embraced by wider audiences, which it truly deserves.
