Appears to be ok, but how would I know otherwise?
Seems expensive for a couple of grease impregnated sponges, but higher prices elsewhere. If it is genuine and does what it is supposed to do that will be fine and, together with a battery and seal, it will still be a fraction of the price my local jeweler wanted to replace a battery.

A useful dock but no hdmi output and laptop still needs its own psu
I've had this for some time a duse it to dock my work and home laptops, both of which work fine, subject to the limitations mentioned in the title.
The unit stands vertically but falls over easily as there is no weight in the base. Mine is held on the glass desk with a couple of dabs of silicone.

Perhaps I was unlucky
The design looked good but the brackets appeared to have been cut from a long extrusion and there were multiple marks in the sides (saw cuts?) as well as some dings in the faces which were probably due to them being put together in a bag with no protective wrapping.
The item was advertised a stainless steel, which the bar appears to be. However, I believe the brackets are an alloy of something softer as they wore rapidly when I tried to polish out the marking.
