Darned Good Router
I have the say that this router doesn't really disappoint. Great throughput, great wireless range, great configuration features, and apparent reliability (one month now). This router replaced an Airport Extreme Gigabit - a solid, reliable router. But the configuration of the Airport was Extreme-ly frustrating and confusing. I've also tried the wrt610n (version 1 & 2)and they just don't match the features and wireless range of the WNDR3700. No router is perfect and the hype may do a dis-service to the overall value of this router. I haven't tried the USB (which was basically non-functional on the Airport Extreme if you weren't running a Mac) and I also haven't tried out the Guest Network functions but what I have used, MAC filtering, dual band networks and static routing w/RIP all work as expected. Well worth the price, which by the way, is less than the WRT610n.

I Love MSI Motherboards
This board is definitely a low end board - no video, no firewire, no SPDIF, no e-sata port, and my understanding is that the 790x chipset is not nearly as good as the 790gx. But with all of that said, this board was easy to set up and booted using the AMD Phenom II x4 965 even without the right bios. I was able to update the bios using MSI's online service using my Windows 7 install from my old MB. The bios updated and recognized the chip without issue. I also had no trouble using the onboard raid controller to do a raid 0 config - using an interim ide drive to get the drivers installed. My only gripe is the placement if the floppy disk controller that is hidden below the lowest pci slot - I thought at first that it wasn't there. I had read some pretty bad things about the 1st version of this board - but V2 seems to work very well. This seems to be a very good, low cost board and another MSI success for me without multiple install issues that I've run into with other brands. It's working great with Windows 7 without even having to do a re-install or even a repair install.

OCZ Nocti is Older, Slower Technology.
I got this to use in a Lenovo w530, in the Sata II mSata port. It was quite a bit slower than I had hoped (scoring in the low 200's in AS SSD) and I also ran into an issue with the SD card slot driver which wouldn't load without disabling the advanced speed setting in the BIOS. I eventually got an SATA adapter and put it into an older 939 board, Windows 2003 Server system and I was surprised that it actually worked better and faster in that older system (AS SSD scores moved into the upper 200's). A faster, more up-to-date mSata chip can be had for about the same or less money. I found a Mushkin 120GB for my Lenovo which is twice as fast as the OCZ Nocti. I still like the OCZ Brand, which was the brand of the first SSD I ever used and is still in use over 3 years later! I'm also using an OCZ Vector which is incredible. But the NOCTI is just not that great for newer systems.
