enjoyed reading this book and glad I bou...
enjoyed reading this book and glad I bought it. However,
it was in v rough condition with a fair number of the first pages
loose!

Fascinating
Fascinating and compelling read. Overall how Russia's progress to a democracy
was sadly nipped in the bud. In fairness turning such a massive country around
was never going to be easy, not helped by killing off the opposition and the
freedom to debate. They got quite near to integrating with the rest of the world but
have such a hatred of 'the west' that that was never going to be easy. Maybe we all
need to accept different ways of running countries and make the best of it from all
side. Change is never easy - look at Iraq and Afghanistan.

Didn't realise the horse doping problems was as bad as this. Well done for making an
issue of it.
