Make the 10/22 fit you
The one drawback of the Ruger 10/22 takedown is its size. I know it's supposed to be small for packing it away into its bag. But, if you are of anything close to average size, you will probably have a hard time getting a good grip on the rifle to fire it. With the Magpul stock, you can adjust the LOP to suit your particular size. I am 6'2" and was amazed at the transformation of the rifle. It now fits me perfectly and I am able to fire it comfortably without feeling like I am firing a youth rifle. The ergonomics Magpul designed into the stock make it feel like a full size weapon. The fit and finish of the stock are what you would expect from Magpul, beautiful! After installing the stock and adjusting the LOP, I broke it down to store it away in the bag. The stock portion will be a close fit with all of the adjusters installed, but it will still fit into the bag and zip up. The barrel and fore end fit nicely as it is only slightly larger than original. If you are looking to make this handy little takedown more comfortable to shoot, this is definitely the way to go.
