    Oneplus 6 A6000 6GB Ram 64GB Rom Dual Sim - Mirror Black (SIM free/Unlocked)

    Oneplus 6 Dual SIM Phone
Been using the Oneplus 6 for two weeks now and first impressions didn't disappoint. I wanted a dual SIM phone since I don't like carrying two phones with me. After a lot of research this came out top for me, incidentally two colleagues did the same and came up with the same result; we are all technophiles. To the phone itself, what I like is how fast it is, no lag whatsoever no matter what I'm doing. The UI is clean and refreshingly free of bloatware. Bluetooth is responsive and quick to pair, my previous phone was an absolute nightmare in this regard. I don't do photography but the snaps I have taken are good enough for me. If you are into camera phones then I'm really not the best to comment on how good or bad it is. I use Firefox and Thunderbird as web/email respectively both are responsive so no complaints there, even with a Firefox ad block add in. My biggest issue is around the stock handling of the dual SIM functionality, for me this seems to be very limited, actually crude. Example, to make a call you can set the phone to default to one SIM or the other for calls/text/data OR you can have the phone ask which SIM you want to use every time. Like I said a very crude way of handling SIM selection. Given I have the phone to separate my work/personal calls this forces me down the 'ask for every call' route. This is OK-ish until you are in a car, making a call whilst connected via bluetooth which results in having to pick the phone up to select which SIM to use. This means breaking the law (and we don't want to do that :) ) or not making calls. I have installed a third party dialler which gives me the ability to set the preferred SIM by contact but for me this takes away some of the clean UI lines I like. Overall though the phone is great for me and I'm very happy with it. Definitely recommend it to anyone who is in the market for a dual SIM phone. I'd even say anyone who is after a new phone and doesn't want dual SIM should consider this phone. I only gave the phone 4 stars, simply for the way it handles the dual SIM functionality, for a phone that has dual SIM capability it's a crime to not make more of it.
VP Components VP-195E - Alloy Pedals - Black

    Good value pedals
Bought these for my new bike as I had similar bear claw pedals on my old bike. I needed something that my work shoes would not slip on and these fit the bill. They got a 4 star rating as there are a couple of very very minor points: 1. I'd like the pedals to freely spin but they don't, it's not that they are stiff to the point of not being OK but you can't spin them and they carry on spinning. They may be just a bit tight and wear in over time. 2. The right hand pedal thread was tight when installing suggesting the machining of the thread was a little off. It needed more 'persuasion' than it should to tighten fully tighten.
Chain Link Splitter or Chain pin removal tool for bicycle. Bike chain extractor.

Cheap but not cheerful chain link splitter
Bought this based on lots of reviews on other sites. The tool JUST about did the job. It did fail to removed the old chain, in fact I had to stop as the pin was starting to bend, if I had continued it would have bent beyond being useful. I actually ended up hacksawing the old chain off. It did however manage to remove a link from the new chain and close it up again BUT I had the be very careful as the tool was now bent. Did it do the job? JUST Could you use it multiple times? Definitely not. If you had to rely on this on a ride you would be in real trouble, in the garage in the warm not so. Overall not worth the money.
