Pedigree entertainment
This is a tale from the author of 'Watership Down' with many of the same dark undertones. It concerns the escape and subsequent adventures of two dogs from a research facility in the North of England. Be warned, however, although this is an edited version many of the scenes would be unsuitable for smaller children. The animation is of a very high standard but the subject material has obviously steered it away from being a much more commercial success. Although I found it very moving in parts and certainly thought provoking, viewers may feel somewhat depressed by the seemingly hopeless situation that the dogs find themselves in. All in all, however, I found this to be excellent entertainment and would strongly recommend it for a mature audience.

Spidey's amazing adventures continue
This run of ASM gives us Len Wein's scripts, some excellent Ross Andru artwork, the original clone story and The Punisher. There's also a Green Goblin multi-issue story from 1977 that is captured here. Great nostalgic fun! Pricey - but worth it if you work out the huge amount of content.
