Indestructable Cell Phone
In 2004 I bought a Passat Sport Estate with a fitted dashboard mount for a Nokia 6310i cell phone fitted by the previous owner. I hadn't heard of this phone model let alone possessing one. I tried to remove the whole installion was but aware I cound damage the dashboard so took the another route. Discovered the Nokia 6310i was a highly regarded business phone so did an Ebay search and bought one off a new private seller with little feedback. Should not have worried as the phone arrived in immaculate condition and even after six years hard useage has its original battery that lasts for an age. It has been dropped many times and has suffered paint damage but has never let me down. Thought I would look for another while they are still available on Ebay. Found loads for sale so again chose a UK seller who had submitted clear pictures and given all the info that was needed.
It arrived with all its original papers including CD and was virtually as new. comming with two chargers and an Italian leather case that had contributed to its superb condition. The Nokia 6310i has no camera or colour screen but is completely 'bomb-proof', easy to use with a huge capacity battery which is really all that is needed.
No wonder therefore that it was the premier business phone of its day and the preferred car phone for Mercedes and other top car manufacturers.
Lucky for me that the car kit was so well fitted and integrated into the dash of my car that it was not an easy task for me to remove. Car thieves would probably not give it a second look today which adds further to its appeal. Their loss but not mine!
