Innovative and flexible
1 of 1 found this helpful Unboxed the Grrrrippper, found a very informative and comprehensive owners manual. Assembly instructions were straightforward and very well illustrated. This tool is very easy to use and very effective. It holds the workpiece tight to the fence and produces perfect cuts, all the while keeping your hands out of harms way. Very easy to adjust to different sizes of stock and it appears to be constructed to hold up and be of service for a long time. And in case you manage to damage part of it, the parts are easily replaceable. It was a great investment!

The TAPE!
Fastcap has a reputation for innovative products and practical business practices. Those factors were the reason I chose this stick on ruler. Being double sided to accommodate both left and right reading functions was also very innovative. I would have served up a 5 star review based on that and the aesthetics of it.
I knew up front it used double sided tape to adhere to the surface, both sides being printed dictated that. The problem is the tape that was provided was 3/4 inches wide and the measuring tape was 7/8 inch wide. To help insure adhesion and to prevent the measuring tape from pulling up, having something catching in the gap, or collecting dust, it's pretty critical that the double sided adhesive extend across the entire width of the measuring tape. Problem was solved by using two strips and trimming the excess, working with double sided adhesive is tough enough, having to custom fit and trim is tedious and time consuming. This was applied to a table saw fence tube and precision is critical. Adhesive a little wider than the width of the measuring tape would be much more preferable than what was sent.
