Had they read the book?
The series is sadly nothing like the book. It was disappointing in that respect, but ok to watch.

Pete's Dragon
A great family film. There is the odd slightly scary moment for the little ones, but lots of fun music and dancing. My son loves it, he is 3 1/2. Follows the story of an orphan and his friend a large green friendly dragon. A great way to get over my sons fear of dragons, monsters etc.

Lights up the whole area
Takes up a small space, gives out lots of light. It is quite easy to knock over, but it has survived undamaged.
