Slasher ahead of its tim
3 of 4 found this helpful John Carpenter's Halloween was maybe the first real slasher movie with a teenage edge to it.OK,Physco was a fantastic film in it's time but Halloween brought a new, more blood thirsty audience to it's knees.One of the film's greatest assets is its music, written by the man himself, John Carpenter. Carpenter was always interested in synth technology and was always experimenting with dark sounding keyboards. The music he composed for this film became iconic and even made it onto an album by Bomb The Base.
I could write about this film all night but there is no point.When you watch it just remember it was the first of its kind and how many have you seen since that have copied it.
