Designed for NTSC
Cheap product that works well IF you are using American TV standard NTSC. Using UK PAL system is fine IF you use the SVHS socket, (the big black one) with rock solid picture and good colour, but feeding a composite signal from the same source to the yellow socket, the picture rolls, folds over on itself and is unusable.
I have checked I've set what options there are in the software.
Using an NTSC 60hz signal from my Hubsan 501S Drone FPV receiver it gives very good results to computer and to phone but it's no good to capture from video recorder unless you have SVHS.

Does what it's name suggests, and does it well and very cheaply.
Want to use a second vga monitor when your graphics card only has one VGA and one HDMI output? Or got a laptop with HDMI but no VGA? SIMPLES! No messing about, no drivers, no power supply. Simply plug into any HDMI socket and connect the other end to a VGA monitor.

Excellent full to computer but annoying gaps in recordings to USB sticks or disks.
This little box allows the recording of any HDMI source, perfect for capturing from Sky or Virgin set top boxes in full HD without downgrading the picture via Scart.
The good news is that not only can it record to USB sticks and external hard disks but also direct to a computer. To do this install the software on the supplied mini CD, then start the software and go to help about to input the supplied registration number. If you don't do this it will only record for 10 mins.
The reasons I give it 4 stars are firstly, because, as advertised, it can only write files upto 2GB to USB devices, so longer recordings are split into several files, like a dash cam. Unlike decent dash cams, it doesn't overlap the two files and you get a short, but annoying, break when you edit them together. The output to the computer is NOT affected by this.
Secondly, although it has an output socket, so you can watch T.V. without swapping plugs over, occasionally the screen will go blank for a second or two.
I'm very happy recording on a computer but unhappy that the breaks between sections on USB spoil recordings made that way.
