I’ve moved to a smaller home and selling some of the things that I’ve collected over the past 30 years. My listings are a bit pot luck depending on which box I’m sorting through. Packed well and as described. Only downside is that there’s a small ding on the edge of the book near the barcode, I assume from something happening in transit during shipping since the same ding isn’t in the listing photos. But considering the distance it traveled to get to me, I’m just more than thrilled to have it regardless. Solid 5 stars!

Rare Flawed Gem
If you want the facelift R170 (2000 on) SLK then this is the only 1/18 scale model that I’ve found. In that respect it is a good model with accurate body, wheels, lights, wing mirrors and interior. Note that only the “Premium” version has a folding roof and seatbelts. It has some oddities that suggest it was built from the existing parts box. It is supposed to be the SLK 200K by the badging, however it has the V6 3.2l engine under the bonnet. The interior, which has a nicely detailed console and dials, has the automatic gearshift and a clutch pedal, just in case! The grille badge is a bit too thick for the scale.

Amazingly detailed, Very Fragile Models
Despite the “Franklin Mint” label, these models are incredibly detailed and beautifully finished. On the downside they are very fragile, so check for missing aerials, wing mirrors, door handles, hood ornaments, etc. The 1998 New Beetle is impressive, right down to a daisy in the “flower vase” and a mobile phone on the dashboard. The bonnet opens to show off the detailed engine bay, doors open, seats fold, steering works and even the filler cap cover opens.

Perfect for covering up sprue breaks on model kits with chrome parts. An excellent chrome effect finish.
