Pennies From Heaven

Having watched this drama orginally in 1978 it was great to see it again and to remember just how brilliant it was. The series was very different from anything we had seen before, the storyline and the use of songs from the 1930's (a particular favourite era for music, so my wife says even though it was before her time, I had better say) cleverly done by Dennis Potter. We could do with more dramas of this quality, sadly we don't seem to get them anymore.

Great comedy

No matter how many times Ive watched this series I cant help but laugh its classic Briish comedy at its best unlike a lot of good comedy from the same era this one ended on an high unlike others that simply got tired and no longer funny. My personal favourite episodes are the Builders and the pyschiatrist which crack me up everytime.Anyone who wants quality UK comedy thistop class.
