First desoldering tool I used really works
5 of 5 found this helpful Amazing, fast, accurate and clean are just some of the advantages I have found using this simple gadget. I have been soldering for nearly 5 decades building my on circuit boards as a kid. I have always been annoyed at the primitive devices used to desolder and potentially overheat a component. This is a great and inexpensive solution that works like a dream. I do not know how durable it is, but for right now it is simplicity at its best. Buy all 3 different diameter tips and the cleaning rod. Note the unit is a little difficult to disassemble for cleaning due to the tight fit of the plastic vacuum chamber.

Great deal
They must have improved their quality control.... only 2 sockets with chrome problems. Fit and finish excellent with higher quality steel ( or temper) than possibly used before. Great deal.
