Unbranded imitation Rolex Jubilee bracelet
3 of 4 found this helpful This is a good quality imitation bracelet which fits the Rolex Datejust. By `good quality' I mean that it is similar to, say, Seiko or Tissot. It is well finished and resists scratching almost as well as a Rolex original.
Just like the Rolex original, the width of the links tapers down from 20mm at the watch body until they reach their minimum width a few links before the clasp. Here there are a few differences compared to the original. The clasp itself is unbranded, and is 0.5mm wider than an original Rolex clasp. The narrowest links are 0.5mm wider than on a Rolex bracelet, so you cannot just transfer
the clasp from your old Rolex bracelet onto this one, as the clasp will not close properly if you do (I know, I tried it). Finally, the removable links are the mirror image of the removable links on a Rolex bracelet, so you cannot swap those around either.
The functioning of the clasp is more positive and secure than my 1980s Rolex original, though I imagine Rolex will have improved their products since then.
At £40 it is 1/40 of the price of a Rolex original and substantially less than a Seiko bracelet for some of their better watches.

So good they had to stop making them
The Athena 11 speed rear mech is a beautifully made and very durable piece of equipment. I know this because I owned one that did over 75,000km of all year round riding, wet and dry, winter and summer, before it was destroyed in an accident involving a car. Even after 75,000km it still cleaned up to look like new and it still shifted perfectly. These mechs are a little heavier than the next model up (Chorus) but they are every bit as well made. The pivots all have proper bushings, unlike some of the cheaper mechs, so the parallelogram remains free of excess play. They are compatible with all Campagnolo 11 speed shifters up to 2014. I have also used them with 2015 Chorus shifters and an 11-25 cassette and saw no degradation of performance.
The bottom line is that there really wasn't much motivation for anyone to fork out twice the money for a Chorus rear mech while these were still in production.

A complete mixer bar for less than the price of one thermostatic cartridge
This is a plug-and-play replacement for any mixer bar with 150mm spacing for the inlet pipes. It took less than 10 minutes to fit and works perfectly. It also costs a lot less than a single replacement thermostatic cartridge for many brands of shower.
The finish looks like chrome-plated brass and has not acquired any hairline scratches in the few weeks that we have been using it. Before plating, the item seems to have been polished by a human using a polishing wheel: if you look at it against the light you can see that the sides are not 100% straight. However this really is splitting hairs. It looks every bit as good as the vendor's photos.
