Hill People Gear Heavy Recon Kit Bag
Pro's: Great product, built very well and very comfortable. I used this as a gun tote (Glock 20 10mm with spare mag) in grizzly country and a fly fishing bag during a 7 day Montana trip.
Load: handgun, spare mag, knife, IFAK kit, misc fly fish gear, map, lighter, snacks, water.
Received a lot of compliments on gun capability and gun accessibility.
Cons: Price? I felt a little high, but changed my mind after using it.
A little large/heavy when loaded with even a medium load. Worked best when packed very light. I needed the handgun in a position for a quick draw due to bears.
Suggestions: My chest began sweating during a long hike. I would like to see the back of the pouch with high raised ribs to allow air to dry perspiration.
In the photo, I attached a VooDoo accessories pouch (too large) and an IFAK kit.
Overall: I would definitely recommend this chest rig to any outdoors man. Great for hikes, fishing or where a pack is too much. Enjoy!
