Great sound - but volume function doesn't work.

These SoundMagic E10C have been bought to replace my old E10 which died after about 5 years. The sound quality isn't in question but the volume control doesn't work with my HTC M8s phone. The 'up' and 'down' buttons (which are incredibly fiddly) with one press select the next or last track, press and hold to 'fast forwards or rewind' the track. It *doesn't* control volume on my phone. There doesn't seem to be any user guide included either in the packaging or online so I contacted SoundMagic who suggested that I try the included 'phone adapter' - it didn't work. Or... to download a third party trial Android headphone App from Google Play!! Hardly a satisfactory solution.

Doesn't really charge very well.

In the description it states that one usb is for charging and data, the other for charging only. I'm afraid that only one usb charges satisfactorily, using the other my HTC One M8 states an error message of "Slow charging".
