decent quality and official product as far as i can tell. mic works fine, no problems with volume levels. frequencies come across nicely with different styles of music. decent bass, although no "bass boost" option, which might bother some bassheads. durability seems fine, at least after a couple weeks constant use. feels tangibly better quality in build than some of the cheaper unbranded headphones i have used or cheap knock off versions (many of these break literally within days). only negative is that occasionally the overall volume is quiet enough that there is some difficulty hearing my audiobook over the noise of traffic, however, it should be noted that this is relative to the amp of the product producing the sound - in this case my phone. when i play music through my laptop i never have to go anywhere near full volume as it is already plenty!
As a note: I am suspicious that there is a degree of planned obsolescence with almost all headphones these days, even branded ones. I believe this designed-to-break intention manifests itself as one headphone losing sound, hence creating something of a "how long before one of the buds goes dud" test. So far, this has not happened with these after two weeks, so we'll have to wait and see how long it takes.
