Memories

I did not live in Ilford but worked there for Ilford Ltd. I remember the shops and the Library with affection. When young belonged to the ‘Sans Egal’ Swimming Club at the Swimming Baths, for a short time. I could write a book about all the connections and memories.

Change in life style.

I love the history of the town where I was born and went to School. Today it is nothing like it used to be when I was young in the 1940’s. It used to be in Essex now it is a part of London and that is part the of the reason for its dramatic change. When I grew up it was a market town and I remember cattle being walked into the market from outlying farms.
