Good looking and in keeping with a retro look
not yet fitted to my restoration project but looks fine for purpose.

Describes the how and why of air travel in its finest era.
I enjoyed the information in this book because of a family connection. My godfather was Chief Inspector of Imperial Airways when the aircraft were introduced and my father was an engineer concerned with engine repair work, too. They took me to Shorts' Rochester works to see their manufacture and, later, to Hythe from where they were being operated.
In 1940 my father had to choose between engine work at either Durban or South Wales, he chose Wales but later visited Durban when he retired.
The book talks about the reasons for the aircraft, their heritage, operations, good and bad features etc. Considering the amount of research he had to undertake it is fascinating story of the most elegant form of air travel (apart from today's executive jets like a personalised Gulfstream).

Carry a spare!
Bought this used in jector to carry as a spare - having had multiple failures of the OEM Bosch units (4 in 40,000 miles). Experience says carry a spare and you'll never need it!
