Wonderful

A fantastic biography of an amazing man. Chaplin is not to be underestimated. In his time he was the most famous man on the planet. He was the inventor and founder of the full length feature film as we know it. Yet he rose to those heights from a catastrophic childhood. He was no saint, but he was one of the brightest geniuses of the 20th Century. Attenburgh's film is a masterpiece from another great film maker. Downey Jr's performance is enchanting - undoubtedly worthy of his Best Actor Oscar. This is a key piece of film history in more ways than one. If you love film, you would do well to watch this and discover the man who made it a mainstream, global, art form.
