FRETLORD GlowDotZ Glow in the Dark Guitar or Bass fret position marker dots NEW!
12 Oct, 2016
Problem solved.
I got a headless bass with a small body. The extra length of neck to body ratio has been requiring me to depend more than ever on seeing where I'm at on the fingerboard. I needed to see the SIDE position markers better, and the glow dotz have been great for that. For a stick on glowing plastic dot, I doubt that anything better is available. The dots stick on my bass and have not come off, or moved at all. I used a cotton ball with a bit of alcohol to clean the edge of the fingerboard first. It was not difficult at all to install the dotz. You can feel them when playing, but it hasn't been an issue for me. I was concerned that I would wipe them out with my thumb, from playing, but they seem to be there to stay. I applied them months ago, and have played that bass all summer so far. The contrast with the ebony fingerboard is excellent, BTW. I have a maple neck and fingerboard on another bass. It can be hard to see the tiny black dots on that bass under bright stage lights. That bass is going to be next to get Glow Dotz.

A great bass, at an amazing price..
It is a great entry level bass, and is actually not far from a pro level instrument. It is an outstanding value. I believe that it is worth more than the bass sells for. There isn't anything that actually needs to be changed on the bass, other than a good set up (to fine tune the action, etc.)and some better strings, if desired. I was surprised how well the bass played right out of the box. The bass looks amazing! I was able to see actual photos of the bass I ordered, and I could see it has a two piece body, with no serious knots or flaws visible. It's good to see what you're getting! There are lots of guys buying these basses, and then modifying them to their liking. It is a good platform for that kind of interest. (The bass has good bones.) But for someone just looking to get started on a 5 string, or someone on a budget, this bass KILLS! Buy one. Everything works well enough on this bass to make it a "keeper". The low cost will please you, especially when you start playing one.

Godin Hardshell Bass Case for A4 and A5 Basses Black
10 Feb, 2017
Doesen't fit Godin A5 bass
The case is very nice alright. It might be OK for the A4 bass, but unless you like cramming your bass into a tight space with the tuner on the right side of the head stock (G string) jammed tight, against the side of the case, and putting sideways pressure on the neck of the bass, Don't buy it for the A5. It didn't take me 5 seconds to recognize that I would not keep the case. Unacceptable for the A5 bass as advertised.
