Eminently watchable - should be on your 'top ten' list

This is one of the all-time greats; don't be put off if you're not a fan of westerns. The three main characters are excellently portrayed, with a healthy dose of Italian wit to balance the serious backdrop of the American civil war. While the film is long, the storyline develops and entertains throughout, accompanied by Ennio Morricone's seminal soundtrack. Some of the later extended remixes were not well-received by aficionados but this version from the early 2000s feels well-balanced. Heartily recommended.
