Great book! Shared with "Grill Meister" friend.
I'm a huge fan of "Best Recipe" publications... and I cook for a living. They tell you the "why's" for a recipe's success (from a technical standpoint), including the results & reviews of the trial runs. I enjoy the detailed information. But in a pinch, I can skip the details, with complete confidence, that the dish will result in a superior success. Without reservation, the "Best Recipe" series provide the BEST cookbooks out there!

In-depth psychological study of diverse characters.
This HBO TV series goes largely under the radar. After having heard an interview with Gabriel Byrne (the lead actor) by Terry Gross, I was intrigued. Ordered it on Blockbuster and was hooked! Each episode depicts one session with one of the therapist's clients. It is quiet, beautifully directed, outstandingly acted (Diane Wiest is stellar) and the character development is complex and realistic. I knew I needed to own it.
