The Twilight Saga Collection by Stephanie Meyer
1 of 1 found this helpful This is a bit more than a teen romance. Stephanie Meyer sucks you right in and you become as obsessed with reading the series as Edward (the vampire) and Bella (the lonely teenaged girl) are with each other. I couldn't put the books down and it was all I could think about until I'd finished them (4 books in 6 days). The story is absolutely mesmerizing. The author does an amazing job of getting into the heads of her characters by showing, not telling. Many references are made to Jane Austen, who creates a similar chemistry between her characters Elizabeth Bennett and Mr. Darcy in Pride and Prejudice, to which the author alludes in the story. I'm buying this so I can continue to re-read it and study the subtle way Stephanie Meyer brings this story to life.
