A well based French View of why The Allies lost the Battle of France in 1940.
this book contains a French view of the battle and loss of France in the Summer of 1940, with comments of some the British reactions and arguments. As such it is very interesting o compare and contrast with British historical views, regarding for instance the surrender of Belgium and Dunkirk. Hence it provides a wider viewpoint than if just considering the British history as English readers tend to be restricted with such texts as Spears "The Fall of France" or Bryant'.

The value of the 'Digging' Territorials during the fall of France
This book provided details about the line of communication support to the BEF during the German Invasion of the low countries, particularly Belgium and France. The detailed analysis of the way in which the Territorial 'Digging' troops were put into the breach because there was none other first line troops was very sobering and provided a much better appreciation of their value and efforts during the fall of France. As such it provides a source of information that should be appreciated by all students of World War 2.
