Happy camper. Brahms & Coote perfect together
Likely best recording of Brahms Alto Rhapsody. I've got as many as I can find. I love that piece of music, and Alice Coote is exceptional. it is on my bedside table single CD player and I play it most nights. Count myself lucky to have found it.

Maestro Celibidache andn Bruckner a match made in heaven
I have been a Bruckner devotee since I majored in music in college. As for Celibidache, as frustrating for management and some musicians as he could be there was no other conductor so right for interpreting Bruckner's music. There is admittedly not much recorded to compare, but few want the effort Bruckner takes. I was very pleased to find this recording of his 9th.
I know tons of musicologists out there who will vehemently disagree. So be it. For pure musical enjoyment, Bruckner is my dark alley. And I'm in love with Maestro Sergiu Celibidache.
