Highly recommended for any fan of Motown
Motown's session musicians,the Funk Brothers were long overdue for their recognition to the label's success,and this documentary delivers just that. Not to mention some great music along the way.

If you like old school r&b,this is a must see!
1 of 1 found this helpful This disc tells the story of the rise and fall of one the most famous soul labels of all time--Stax Records.To its humble beginnings,its peak of popularity,the impact it left on the music industry,and its tragic demise.It also goes into details about some of their more artists such as Otis Redding, Booker T. and the MG's,Isaac Hayes and others.But what I enjoyed most are the many clips and excerpts of these legendary performers performing on stage(Sam and Dave rocked!)Highly recommended.
