Surprisingly good read
This book surprised me; I went in knowing very little of what to expect, and I'm glad I did. It's a quick book, deeply genre and trope-ful from time to time, and the writing style itself was sometimes a bit YA feeling for my normal tastes. But the story was surprisingly charming despite that and really drew me in, enough to have me ordering a physical copy after listening to the somewhat gracelessly narrated audiobook. Overall, yes it's a little rough feeling, could have probably used a bit more polishing, but Outlawed is a story interesting enough that I'll be thinking about it for a long time, and will definitely recommend it to others who enjoy a charming subversion of genre.
