More versatile than expected
I bought this lens for a specific trip, but I have found it to be more versatile and useful in othe situations, particularly landscapes but also indoors for groups. The retail price is high, but that should be set in the context that it is a fast zoom lens (f2.8) and achieves minimal aberration across the whole zoom range. Whether it is good value for money is a very subjective opinion, depending on what you paid for it, and your budget. I think it was, for me!

Budget end of the market
This is very thin compared with some other products available, and I suspect fragile, which is why I rate it as poor quality. Some applications might be better with a thinner product, so if that is the case, buy it. It would be suitable as a drawer liner. It is cheap and cheerful, and at the selling price, worth trying to see if it suitable for your application.
