Good for cars without previous steering-wheel control
I bought a Pioneer AVH-X491BHS. My 2001 Avalon had no previous steering-wheel controls. I did not realize how big a problem that this would be. I tried all types of steering-wheel interfaces to talk with the radio and a separately bought remote. Nothing worked. Pioneer has stopped carrying many of their remotes for their radios that attached to the steer-wheel. Found this one, liked the way it looked and had the phone buttons. It works well with most of features on my radio. When I have my iPhone on, I can answer and hang-up calls with this remote - works perfectly in all ways. It controls the volume of the radio, toggles between radio pre-sets, the different radio functions (blue tooth, radio, aux, etc), and easily goes between tracks on CDs and through the music on my iPhone through blue tooth. There are some screens it will not toggle within (maybe the newness of the radio). I have found no problems with connectivity having it attached to the steering wheel on the right-hand side as I have read in some posts. It is very user-friendly with its buttons (volume on the bottom) as I drive down the road - don't have to take my eyes off of the road. Overall, very pleased. Highly recommended.
