Why these?

I use them for tracking, mixing, and mastering in my home studio. Along side KRK monitors.. These phones are just as flat, as they should be!. Very minimal coloring added. That is not to say they are dull.. They are very articulate. Open, but not too much, another positive. What you put in is what you get out.
I looked at a lot of options and could have easily paid much more for less in a number of top recommended sets... I chose these based on pure spec comparisons and being very familar with other hesdsets and sound quality in general.
If you need very decent headphones for your home studio... These will serve you well. Spend the money saved elsewhere. These are every bit as good as the competition and cost $30-150 less.
