Gene McDaniels-The EP Collection
The Recordings on this Fine CD are from the Singers Golden Period 1961-1965 with most of his London American / Liberty UK releases featured along with re-makes of Hits for other Performers ie..Raindrops, Sway ,Spanish Harlem,Plus several others...Recorded in Great sound See For Miles have put together an Excellent Package on this 26 tracker...He never cut the Mustard in the UK due to local cover versions....Do Yourself a Favour if You overlooked Gene McDaniels the First time round.... Get This!!*****

BROOK BENTON The Platinum Collection
1 of 1 found this helpful 20 Track CD of Atlantic Recordings from 1970-71 by Brook Benton from the Excellent Warner Platinum series..."Rainy night in Georgia-Shoes-My Way-Don't it make you want to Go Home" and the aptly titled "Where Do I Go from Here" lift this collection from below average ...but only just!...too many tracks are lost to material unsuited to the artist and fail to make much of an impact!!***
