very happy with this purchase
I purchased this system to go with my Samsung 60" curved screen 4k television. I had been using a 12 year old Bose acoustimass surround sound system which was beginning to show some signs of oncoming problems. The overall sound quality of this curved speaker compares favorable with the Bose system. I haven't missed the 5/1 surround sound at all. I especially have learned to like the integration with my television and not having to have two remotes to control the TV and The speakers. It took a bit of time with learning curve to get the sound profile I preferred though. The bass can have a tendency to be overpowering unless moderated. One of the features that I am not sure if I really love or hate is the automatic setting for sound profile. Usually it sets properly for what media or input is being played but sometimes it misses completely. The side shooting speakers do a very good job of picking up the left right surround effects. I have not added extension speakers and at this time feel that they will not be necessary. Visually this soundbar is stunning and with the television makes a very sleek design statement. I have my television sitting on a dedicated television console table and not wall mounted so I can address how the soundbar works with the wall mount hardware. I had a couple issues with placing the soundbar in its proper position as it actually didn't quite fit under the television. I had a package of standard wood shims around and by adding a couple to raise the television 1/4" the problem was solved. The only other little niggle is that the IR from the remote has to be held in a very narrow angle to the television to have the signal recognized, a minor niggle and a design choice of location on the particular model of television that I have.
All in all I would highly recommend this soundbar with its beautiful styling, good sound presentation, and most assuredly from the total ease of setting up right out of the box. I tried both optical and Bluetooth connectivity and have found that the Bluetooth is solid and very functional. I also am impressed with the Bluetooth capabilities of this speaker and frequently enjoy streaming music from my laptop or phone. A good buy for me. As many reviews have stated there are better sounding soundbars available for less, however sometimes we are happy paying a little more for better design.
