Review Canon EOS 5D Mark 1
This is the first time I have owned a full frame camera.
I am fairly happy with it as even at the max ISO (1600) it produces reasonable non-grainy pictures. (at around 3 foot by 2 foot. Croppable.
The 5D has very many adjustment facilities which is good.
Being a spectacle wearer, I would have liked to focus and aim with the back LCD.
Two things I didn't like were:-
1:- The batteries have a life of about 10 mins. each; On multi shot. This is suppliers fault, not the camera's.
2:- The kit lens I was supplied with (24-105mm). The tele end had a considerable amount of play laterally. But it seems to function correctly; bearing in mind that I am new to these big lenses and full frame cameras.
3: Both the camera and the lens are quite heavy. I was used to Panasonic MFT cameras which were about 1/4 of the weight.
I have now bought a pro Macro lens (1:1) also a 70-300mm telephoto lens.
So equiped with these three lenses, I feel this camera will do a fair job of anything that takes my desire.
I am happy with it so far.
Thankyou for reading my feelings.
