A nice tool.
This is good for getting masking fluid onto small areas and fairly thick lines. It is not ideal for fine lines, however, for which the use of bottled fluid and a twig is better. It dries nice and quickly.

Just the inspiration I needed.
The late John Blockley was a master of breaking the rules in watercolour painting. I love the way he draws buildings in detail, but puts them in settings that are painted largely by inspiration, being virtually abstract. He explains his techniques with each painting, and points out quite where he has gone off the rails regarding normal watercolour techniques. I was delighted to be able to find a copy of his book. It was in excellent condition, just as described, and delivered in a very timely manner.

My new go-to watercolour paper
This is excellent watercolour paper. It can handle a lot of water without wrinkling, and makes excellent textures when used with granulating watercolour.
