Good product at a competitive price.
Bought this battery to replace the original Toshiba battery. Fitted into the computer very easily and gives about the same performance as the original Toshiba battery.
Occassionally the battery charging indicator doesn't illuminate, but this has never caused a problem.

Good product, excellent price, but no after sales assistance!
The reasons I bought this product were based on the specification and features relative to the price. The accessories included with the package are very comrehensive and include mains charger and 12 volt charger, whereas other suppliers usually exclude a mains charger by sustituting the USB cable for charging off the vehicle.
I prefer the air vent mount which is also included, as it replicates the position of a ''built in'' sat nav unit.The mount design is as easy to use as a conventional windscreen suction mount.
The loaded sat nav software is iGo8 which is fine, and the preloaded POIs very comprehensive, even the local chip shops are included.
The screen display is very clear and bright, and the mapping as far as I have experienced extremely accurate.I have tested the sat nav on local routes that I would expect to have difficulty with any sat nav, but it has chosen the route I would have taken using my local knowlege. I have no reason to distrust the mapping and routing information given.
Overall the sat nav package in my opiniion is very comprehensive and competitively priced. The order was despatched quickly and received sooner than I expected.
The downside to this unit is short battery life when not connected to a battery source.It is only possible to use the unit for programming a route and simulate the chosen route before a 'low battery' warning is given. The software has a 'pedestrian' setting, but this would be impossible to use due to the sat nav battery storage capacity.
The sat nav was sold with a 2 year warranty by a UK based supplier. When received I unpacked the kit, charged the battery, and checked operation of the sat nav. Everything appeared to be OK and I gave a 5 star feedback. The first time I used the unit in the car I discovered that the 'in built' speaker was not working so I didn't have the audible directions facility. On checking this out further I discovered that The directions could be heard through the headphones feature or through the car radio via the FM feature.
This problem was reported to the supplier via Ebay mail but no response has been received. After several weeks I contacted Ebay with a complaint that the goods had been received without any documentation that is normally given ie. delivery note or invoice which would give contact telephone number and address. E bay has given a contact telephone number, but this number is peranently engaged.
In summary therefore I comment as follows:
The sat nav unit and the loaded software is excellent and matches any comparable unit on the market at two or three times the price. However the 2 year guarantee is worthless and the purchase should be considered as an 'as is' status similar to a second hand unit rather than brand new.
Finally after about a month suddenly the sound appered via the 'in built' speaker, this lasted about two weeks and then disappeared as suddenly as it had appeared. So I am not sure whether the problem is a software or hardware glitch!

5 of 5 found this helpful Product quality is very good and material is fairly thick so I would expect good life since the cover will be stressed when towing especially at motorway speeds. Does exactly what it claims and is easy to fit.
