What a beastie !!
2 of 2 found this helpful Superb piece of kit. When I bought it I really had no idea just how versatile it really is. Worth every penny and I can even play all 3500 plus iTunes stored on my iPod. Working on aircraft engines and then lots of explosions caused damage to my hearing but the tones coming out of this and the Mission speakers I also bought means I can, once again, hear every word. Excellent !!!! 5 stars all the way!!

Good value for money
1 of 2 found this helpful A nice radio which I would hold up against any Pure or Roberts both of which I have owned - in fact this radio was ordered to replace a Pure which I had got tired of supplying endless expensive batteries for.
The Philips may not be the most logical radio to operate (the pre-select system takes a bit of getting used to) but it has good volume and a clear tone. I suffer from loss of hearing so both of these are important to me. Pound for pound I think this is a better radio than its competitors. Would recommend it without reservation.
If I have one niggle it's that the display doesn't stay lit when you are running the radio on batteries but I would guess that's a power conservation thing. Other than that 10 out of 10 !!

just what the doctor ordered
A good quality product at a good price. I had a black one previously which had done good service over three years being used everyday. The new one will, I believe, do just as well. Handy to keep the mobile, car keys and other bits and pieces safe and dry while I am out on the boats.
